Paramedic Refresher Course Description:

The Paramedic Refresher course is an in-depth, comprehensive training program designed to meet the recertification requirements for current or recently expired paramedics. This course adheres to the standards set by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and state regulatory agencies, ensuring paramedics are up to date with the latest medical advancements, protocols, and life-saving techniques.

Course Highlights:

  • Advanced Medical Care Updates: In-depth review of updated protocols for managing critical medical emergencies, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and endocrine disorders.
  • Trauma Management: Focus on advanced trauma care techniques, including hemorrhage control, fracture stabilization, spinal immobilization, and rapid trauma assessments.
  • Advanced Airway and Ventilation Management: Practical skills training on endotracheal intubation, supraglottic airways, and advanced ventilation strategies, including new airway management protocols.
  • Cardiac and ECG Interpretation: Refresher on 12-lead ECG interpretation, cardiac pharmacology, and management of life-threatening arrhythmias, as well as updates on ACLS protocols.
  • Pharmacology and Drug Administration: Review of key medications used in emergency care, including dosage calculations, contraindications, and new drug therapies introduced in pre-hospital care.
  • Special Populations: Comprehensive training on managing emergencies involving pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics, and patients with special healthcare needs.
  • Legal, Ethical, and Documentation Updates: Focus on updated legal responsibilities, ethical considerations, and best practices in patient documentation and reporting.
