EMT Refresher Course Description:

The EMT Refresher course is designed to provide current and recently expired EMTs with the necessary training and updates to maintain or renew their certification. This course follows the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and state guidelines, ensuring participants remain proficient in essential life-saving skills, protocols, and emergency care practices.

Course Highlights:

• Medical Emergency Updates: Review of the latest protocols in managing cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, and other medical emergencies.
• Trauma Care: Reinforcement of trauma patient assessment and management, including bleeding control, fractures, and spinal injuries.
• Advanced Airway Management: Hands-on practice with airway techniques, oxygen therapy, and suctioning, emphasizing updated guidelines.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & AED: Refresher on the latest resuscitation science, with practical application of CPR and AED techniques.
• Special Populations: Overview of emergency care considerations for pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, and other special patient groups.
• Legal and Ethical Updates: Review of recent changes in EMT-related legal responsibilities, consent, and patient rights.
