Class Schedule

All courses are for Nashville Fire Department employees only, unless specifically stated within the course description.  Due to limited class size and offerings, preference will be given to active employees.

 When enrolling into a course you must enter your name (as you wish it to appear on the course completion card) and a valid email address.

Only active Firefighters are eligible for FF Inservice.

If you are an EMS retiree, the same rules apply as active employees.  Classes will start on-time and no late entry is allowed.  You must have all precourse work completed and you must have a student manual with you on the day of the class.  If any of these conditions are not met, you will be asked to reschedule.

The Nashville Fire Department has created and will be providing a program course in leadership beginning February and every month following in 2024. The L.E.A.D. Ops program (Leading Effectively through Accountability and Development) consists of several modules of topics pertaining to leadership and management. Topics included range from Accountability to Change Management, and Effective Workplace Communication. The goal of this program is to provide employees with basic knowledge and skills to help increase their professional capacities and management potential.  This is a one-day (8 hour) course, and you must attend the entire day to receive your certificate of completion.

This class is mandatory for all personnel who are district chief level and above. The class is open to all other personnel on a recurring, voluntary FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis. The classes will be offered twice a month throughout 2024 and held at different locations throughout the city to accommodate for logistical needs. 

 February and March classes will start promptly at 0700 and will be located at:

 Classroom 'B' - go to the main entrance at the horseshoe and make a left at the security desk and it's the first classroom on the right.  

Attendance:

Class B uniforms (collared shirt) are required and personnel are to arrive on time.  Once you are scheduled there will be no exceptions to change your class date unless an extenuating circumstance exists.
